Wegovy Tablets (semaglutide) 1.5mg is an oral, once-daily GLP-1 receptor agonist — the same active ingredient and starting dose used at the beginning of standard Wegovy Tablets treatment, made by Novo Nordisk. This 10-day pack is intended for patients beginning treatment who want to assess how they tolerate the medicine before moving on to a full month's supply; it is not intended to produce measurable weight loss.

Consultation
Yes — free online consultation required, with the same clinical assessment as the standard pack. Suitable for adults with BMI ≥30, or BMI 27+ with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. This pack does not shorten or bypass that assessment.
Wegovy Tablets (10-Day Trial Pack) is a shorter initiation pack of Wegovy Tablets 1.5mg, the same oral, once-daily semaglutide used at the start of standard Wegovy Tablets treatment, made by Novo Nordisk. It is intended for patients who are starting treatment and want to assess how they tolerate the medicine before committing to a full month's supply.
This pack exists to assess tolerability: how a patient copes with the common early gastrointestinal effects of semaglutide, such as nausea and mild stomach upset, and whether they can realistically follow the daily fasting administration protocol that the medicine requires.
This pack will not produce measurable weight loss, and it is not a way to test whether the medicine "works". 1.5mg is a starting dose used to let the body adjust to treatment; meaningful weight change happens over months at higher doses, not over ten days. Patients who expect to lose weight in this window will be disappointed, but for the wrong reason.
Clinical suitability for Wegovy Tablets is determined by a prescriber at consultation, based on a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or more, or 27 kg/m² or more with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol, together with a full contraindication screen. This pack does not bypass or shorten that assessment.
As with all Wegovy Tablets, this pack must be taken once daily on waking, on an empty stomach, with no more than 120ml of plain water, and nothing else to eat, drink, or take orally for at least 30 minutes afterwards. This is an absorption requirement, not a preference.
Patients who continue treatment beyond this pack move onto the standard 30-day 1.5mg supply, and then the normal escalation schedule, subject to clinical review at each stage.

Wegovy Tablets contain semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist that works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone in the body. This pack contains the 1.5mg starting dose only, the same strength and formulation used at the beginning of standard Wegovy Tablets treatment.
At 1.5mg, semaglutide's main early effect is on appetite and gastrointestinal tolerability rather than on weight. It acts on receptors in the brain's hunger centres and slows gastric emptying, which is why nausea and mild stomach upset are the most commonly reported effects in the first days and weeks of treatment. The starting dose exists to let the body adjust gradually to the medicine before any dose increase, not to deliver a therapeutic effect on weight.
Because semaglutide is a peptide, it would normally be broken down in the stomach before it could be absorbed. Wegovy Tablets overcome this using a co-formulated absorption enhancer called SNAC, which is why the strict administration protocol below has to be followed closely for the medicine to be absorbed as intended.
This pack is a short initiation supply of Wegovy Tablets 1.5mg, intended for patients starting treatment who want to assess how they tolerate the medicine — including common early side effects and the daily fasting administration routine — before committing to a full month's supply.
No. This pack contains the 1.5mg starting dose, which is used to let your body adjust to the medicine, not to produce weight loss. Meaningful weight change with Wegovy Tablets happens over months at higher doses, not over a ten-day window at the starting dose. If you're hoping to see weight loss in this period, you'll likely be disappointed — but for the wrong reason, since ten days at 1.5mg was never intended to produce that result.
Yes. The same full clinical assessment applies as for the standard 30-day pack, including a review of your BMI and a full contraindication screen. Choosing the shorter pack does not reduce or bypass this assessment in any way.
If you tolerate the medicine well and wish to continue, you move onto the standard 30-day 1.5mg pack, and then the normal escalation schedule, with each step subject to clinical review by your prescriber.
The most commonly reported side effects early in treatment are gastrointestinal — nausea, mild stomach upset, and sometimes vomiting or diarrhoea. These are usually mild to moderate and tend to improve as your body adjusts. Assessing how you cope with these effects is one of the main purposes of this pack.
No. This pack is only available at the 1.5mg starting dose. A shorter pack only makes clinical sense at the initiation strength — 4mg is reached later in treatment, after at least one month at 1.5mg, under your prescriber's guidance.
Yes, a prescription is required. Wegovy Tablets (10-Day Trial Pack) is a prescription-only medicine (POM), so it cannot be bought over the counter. You can get it through Access Doctor by completing a short online consultation, which is then reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. If the treatment is suitable and approved, a prescription is issued and your order is dispensed and dispatched discreetly from our UK pharmacy.
