Does It Work Abroad?
- Storage: Below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep in hand luggage, not checked baggage.
- Pack extras: Order a 30-tablet pack even if you plan to use fewer. Travel disruption can leave you short.
- Time zones: Aim to keep dosing roughly 8 hours apart adjusted to the new time zone. Occasional variation by an hour or two is unlikely to cause problems.
- Airport security: Tablets in dispensing packaging are fine. No prescriber letter required for norethisterone.
Swimming and Water Activities
Norethisterone is an oral tablet — swimming, water parks, sweating, and water sports have no effect on how it works. This is one of the main reasons women delay their periods for beach holidays and aquatic events. There are no restrictions on physical activity.
What If Things Don't Go to Plan
- Period starts before tablets arrive: Norethisterone cannot stop bleeding underway. Contact your prescriber.
