Mometasone Nasal Spray

Mometasone furoate nasal spray is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation inside the nose. It is used to relieve persistent and allergy-related sinusitis, allergic rhinitis (including hay fever) and nasal polyps, easing congestion, facial pressure and a blocked or runny nose.

Some people notice an improvement in congestion and pressure within a day or two, but the full benefit usually builds over one to two weeks of regular daily use. It works best when used every day rather than only when symptoms flare.

The usual adult dose for sinusitis is two sprays into each nostril once daily (a total of 200 micrograms a day). Once symptoms are controlled, your prescriber may reduce you to the lowest effective maintenance dose. Always follow the instructions given after your online consultation.
