Allevia is a non-drowsy antihistamine tablet containing 120mg of fexofenadine. It is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis — such as hay fever — including sneezing, itchy, runny or blocked nose, and itchy, red and watery eyes. It works by blocking histamine, the chemical your body releases during an allergic reaction. The recommended dose is one tablet (120mg) daily, taken with water before a meal. The medication works within one hour of taking it and provides 24 hours of relief.
