Vaniqa
Vaniqa is a cream that contains the active substance eflornithine. Vaniqa is used to reduce the growth of excessive hair (Hirsutism) on the face of women older than 18 years of age.
What is Vaniqa?
Vaniqa cream contains the active medical ingredient Eflornithine.
It is an effective and popular cream used by women to slow down facial hair growth.
Vaniqa cannot be used in the rest of the body.
How does Vaniqa cream work?
The ingredients found in Vaniqa cream, particularly Eflornithine (Hydrochloride Monohydrate).
Eflornithine works in the hair follicle to reduce unwanted facial hair by blocking the enzyme Ornithine Decarboxylase enzyme. VANIQA® works during the growth stage of the hair cycle by interfering with an enzyme in the follicle necessary for hair to grow. This results in slower growth and improved appearance where VANIQA® is applied.
Improvement in the condition occurs gradually. Don’t be discouraged if you see no immediate improvement. Improvement may be seen as early as 4-8 weeks of treatment. Use VANIQA® twice a day, at least 8 hours apart, or as directed by your doctor, to slow the growth of unwanted facial hair. Individual results may vary
