How soon can I expect to lose weight with Wegovy?

According to Novo Nordisk (manufacturers of Wegovy), research data carried out in a 68-week medical study of 1,961 adults living with obesity or excess weight with a related medical problem indicated that adults lost on average of 35 Lbs (or around 15% of body weight) whilst taking Wegovy.

Wegovy may cause nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain (abdomen), headaches, tiredness, bloating, feeling bloated, gassiness, stomach flu, and heartburn as side effects.

How often is Wegovy taken?

Once started on Wegovy, it is advised to inject on the same day each week.

Do I have to take Wegovy on the same day each week?

Yes, you should take Wegovy on the same day every week, when it's most convenient for you.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Wegovy?

In the case of missed doses of Wegovy (Semaglutide), take the missed dose as soon as possible when the next scheduled dose is more than two days away (48 hours).

If a dose of Wegovy has been missed and the next scheduled dose is less than 48 hours away (two days), do not administer the dose. Take the next dose as scheduled.

When you miss your dose of Wegovy for more than 2 weeks, take the next dose on the regular scheduled day. You can also talk to your weight loss adviser about restarting your medication.
